Cruise for Kids Charities

The Children’s Home:   The Children's Home is a place where children learn to smile and families learn to flourish! It is not one individual program that makes us successful, but the combination of all services that make our care to children and families complete.  Over the course of a year, we will touch the lives of nearly 12,000 children and adults, by Strengthening Families through prevention and outreach, Finding & Supporting Forever Families, and Healing the Trauma of Abuse and Neglect.  The impact that we make in the lives of the people we serve is only made possible through the generosity of the community...and for that we are grateful!

For Every Child Hope Totes:  This program provides a tote with 3 - 4 days worth of new clothing, socks, underwear, pajamas and toiletries to children in emergency shelters and safe houses. Often, these children arrive with only the clothes on their backs. "Hope Totes" provides a few basic necessities as well as hope. Every tote includes a note telling each child that they are important and that someone cares. Children under six also get a handmade blanket in their totes. The totes themselves can then be used for storage or as a book bag for school. We have been fortunate to have companies such as Adidas donate some duffle bags to be used for the program. We've also had some local dentists donate children's tooth brushes and toothpaste to be included in the totes. We are always looking for new clothes to be donated, hand made blankets and money to purchase the items we need to give another "Hope Tote" to a needy child.

All Children’s Hospital: All Children’s Hospital is the only specialty licensed children’s hospital on Florida’s west coast. Founded in 1926, All Children’s has grown into a leading pediatric referral center that is dedicated to advancing treatment, education, research and advocacy in child health.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay:  Many communities in Tampa Bay are facing a crisis of soaring high school dropout rates, low health and fitness levels in youth and rising violence. We believe that socioeconomic challenges in these under served communities, such as inadequate housing, health care, and employment opportunities, put added pressure on families and their children. Given that these communities often lack the capacity and resources to address these challenges, children are not afforded the necessary opportunities to learn and grow, to be their best.

Boys & Girls Club of Hernando:  A youth development agency. The Club delivers programs dedicated to the health, social, educational, vocational, character development and guidance of youth, 5-18 years of age. The Club is open to all youth, with special emphasis on providing quality services to those members from disadvantaged circumstances. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hernando County is a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a national organization with over 2000 Clubs, serving over 3 million youth.  BGCHC's dedicated staff members strive to improve each child's life by implementing self-esteem, courage, and positive values through programs in five core areas:

Voices For Children:  Every year in Hillsborough County, thousands of children are trapped in hopeless homelife situations. Even after they are removed by law enforcement, the vast majority of them have no say in their futures. Many children face a judicial system that does not get the chance to hear what is in their best interests. That is why Guardian ad Litem exists. And that is why Voices For Children works tirelessly on its behalf. We are Their Voices.

Clothes To Kids:   Their mission is to provide new and used quality clothing to low-income, school-age children in Pinellas County, free of charge.

Oasis:  OASIS Network is a grassroots, volunteer-driven organization, serving underprivileged children in Hillsborough County since 2001. This is possible through a unique partnership with the Hillsborough County School District's social workers.  Our mission is to provide basic necessities to needy students in Hillsborough County public schools.

Make a Wish:   the nation’s largest wish-granting organization. Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has given hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions. From our humble beginnings with one boy’s wish to be a police officer, we’ve evolved into an organization that grants a child’s wish in the U.S. every 40 minutes.

Metropolitan Ministries:  Metropolitan Ministries faithfully reaches out to poor, hungry and homeless men, women and children in their time of need — providing life-changing answers.Within our care, people find food, clothing, shelter, and other vital services. But more importantly they find compassion and hope – hope for a brighter day and future.
